About Us
The Networking Community is a resource center and membership organization for helping individuals maximize the value of their business networks and networking. Our mission is to make networking easier and more productive for the individual by bringing together the necessary networking resources to ensure success. TNC's overarching value is: "Networking, Like Life, is a Process not an Event."
In today's tough business climate competition is incredibly fierce. Many markets are already saturated. An incredible amount of people feel networking is simply talking or indiscriminately handing out business cards. It isn't. As misunderstood as networking is, there is a real need for individuals to connect and network effectively.
A vast number of membership-based networking organizations exist in any given geographic area, supporting various interests, business disciplines and industry segments. The nature of the various organizations can vary from casual to formal, general to specific, collegial to competitive, plus myriad other variables. The challenge is to identify the organization that will work best for a particular person or group. TNC has responded to this market demand with the formation of networking groups tied together by one of our core foundation values that with networking, like life, "One size does not fit all."
Another TNC value is the strong belief and practice that networking is leveraged through the smart use of technology. Nothing tops person-to-person networking for building, cultivating and maintaining relationships. However, with all the right intentions to follow-up, life happens and staying in touch becomes challenging. TNC strongly believes that technology can be complimented with personal networking, to consistently build relationships.
TNC believes that networking requires continuous education. A learned skill, true networking represents the summit of marketing know-how. Dan Williams, founder, brings to TNC his know-how, experience and five step networking system for deriving maximum value from a given set of network contacts over time. Williams creates awareness of his methodology though "The Networking Community Radio Show", his audio cd book and speaking engagements. By learning and utilizing these principles, individuals can systematically manage network contacts from the point of simple awareness and through a series of quantifiable milestones, to the achievement of an identified business goal.
In a world where it’s both what and who one knows that provide the business edge, becoming a member of The Networking Community should be a top priority for anyone serious about networking.
